How I combine DCA, dividend income, position sizing and risk control.
I have been investing since 2006 and have built my current portfolio publicly on eToro since 2020. I complemented practical experience with the CISI Level 3 qualification. My goal is not short-term trading or chasing prices, but long-term ownership of quality companies that generate cash, sustain their dividends and can grow them over time.
01 / REGULAR BUILDING
DCA as a repeatable process
I add new capital regularly and reinvest dividends. I do not try to catch one perfect bottom. I build positions gradually across different market conditions and may invest more during corrections or when valuations become more attractive. I never force new cash into the market. Every purchase must make sense in terms of price, dividend quality, cash flow and the balance of the whole portfolio.
02 / ACTIVE OWNERSHIP
Holding is not passive
I monitor free cash flow, payout ratios, debt, dividend coverage, management guidance, valuation and the original investment thesis. A high yield alone is not enough. If cash-flow quality deteriorates, debt rises, the dividend is no longer safely covered or the reason I bought the company changes, I reduce or exit the position.
01
Regular capital
I spread new deposits and dividends over time instead of making one emotional purchase.
02
Income quality
The dividend must be supported by cash flow, a sensible payout ratio and sustainable debt.
03
Position control
A normal position is capped at about 3.5%, with no leverage and no dependence on one sector.
04
Purposeful additions
A new holding must improve income, quality, diversification or the portfolio's risk profile.
02 / MY INVESTMENT PROCESS
Data determine the decision. Only a good thesis earns time.
